Our Summer CrossFit Kids Program Was a Hit!

Did you know that starting kids young in fitness not only helps their physical development but also boosts their confidence and social skills? Our summer CrossFit Kids program was a huge hit, and we're thrilled to share some of the highlights and what’s next for our little athletes.

We initially capped our program at 12 kids, hoping to have a solid group of 10-12. The energy and excitement were palpable, and before we knew it, we had to cut off enrollment at 18 kids! The demand was so high that we even had to turn away half a dozen more eager participants.

It’s clear that our community values the importance of starting healthy habits early.

A key focus of our program was providing supportive role models. Coach Soph, who led, ran, and programmed the sessions, is CrossFit Kids certified and truly passionate about working with kids. She ensured every child felt encouraged and motivated, creating an environment where they could thrive. Coach Soph's dedication and love for teaching shined through in every session, making a lasting impact on our young athletes.

We emphasized the importance of movement. Too often, kids spend their days seated and glued to screens. We wanted to change that by encouraging them to interact, socialize, and move their bodies.

Activities included lifting, jumping, running, and playing. All were designed to be fun and educational. We believe that making fitness enjoyable from a young age helps to foster a lifelong love of physical activity.

Seeing the kids' enthusiasm has inspired us to consider expanding our program. We're looking into adding more days and sessions to accommodate everyone interested. Our goal is to make sure every child who wants to participate gets the chance to join in the fun and learn valuable skills.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds for our CrossFit Kids program. Stay tuned for updates and get ready to sign up for our next session! Let’s keep building strong foundations and friendships.
